What is EMR software, and why switch from paper?
An electronic medical record (EMR) is the digital version of a patient's chart inside your clinic: everything you would write in a register or on a case paper, stored so you can search it, reuse it and print it. An EHR (electronic health record) goes one step further and follows the patient across providers.
Doctor OS does both. Your clinic keeps a full EMR for every patient, and each patient also gets a free Patient Passport: their own health record that collects prescriptions and reports from every connected clinic and lab, and that they choose to share with you.

What is the difference between EMR and EHR?

Is my patient data safe in Doctor OS?
Data is hosted in India with nightly encrypted backups. Sign-in is by OTP, files use encrypted storage with short-lived links, staff see only what their role allows, and every change is in the audit log. Patients control who sees their Passport and for how long.
Can I use the EMR on my phone?
Yes. Doctor OS runs in any browser, as Android and iPhone apps, and as a desktop app for Windows and Mac. One account works on all of them.
